I still have some beautiful things to show you from our Sunny Design Days tour in Spain, so expect a few more posts here this week! In Barcelona, we were lucky to spend a night at yök Casa + Cultura, which is something like a hotel apartment but way nicer and more personal. yök is run by Petz and Mari, who have their office on the top floor of the building and can give you lots of good tips about the city (the really good addresses, not the touristic ones...). Our group shared the most charming 4 bedroom apartment, but there are also two other apartments available, both sleeping 4 persons.

Later that night, we got to enjoy a fantastic rooftop dinner together with some local designers and other creative people. The delicious dinner was prepared by Pepi de Boissieu and served on beautiful trays from Delica, a company founded in 2005 in Bera-Navarre and several times awarded for its design. Susanna and Desiree also styled some great photos with Delica's products in our apartment as you can see below.

Above a picture from our rooftop dinner which was served on these nice Delica trays. Needless to say, the view over Barcelona was stunning from up there! Also, yök regularly hosts cultural events on the rooftop where guests and locals mingle together.
And below a few more photos from our lovely apartment.

The Sunny Design Days tour was arranged for Design Bloggers United by RED - Reunión de Empresas de Diseño / Spanish Design Association - a nonprofit organisation that promotes Spanish design worldwide.

Sorry, not so much time for blogging here in Languedoc Roussillon in the south of France... I'm far too busy driving around the beautiful countryside and enjoying the excellent food and good wines ;)
I'm going back to Paris tonight though, so I'll see you again tomorrow! Meanwhile, some pictures from a small village we visited the other day.

I haven't yet told you about this fantastic design hotel where I stayed during my trip to Stockholm and Formex: Clarion Hotel Sign. The spectacular building was created by Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh and each room and all the common areas are furnished with Nordic design icons created by Arne Jacobsen, Hans J Wegner, Alvar Aalto, Bruno Mathsson, Norway Says, Poul Kjaerholm and a few more... The hotel is also filled with beautiful photo art in black&white by Scandinavian photographers.

My room was situated  on the 3rd floor, had a lovely view of the parc in front of the hotel and was furnished with Swedish design by Bruno Mathsson and Gunilla Allard. The headboards with prints of motifs from nature have been designed especially for the hotel by Danish brand Montana. Here are a few photos from my room taken in a hurry with Instagram...

I didn't have the possibility to try out the hotel's well-known restaurant, Aquavit Grill & Raw Bar, created by the chef Marcus Samuelsson, but at least we had the pleasure to have dinner with him on this occasion... Unfortunately I didn't have time either to test the spa on the top floor, although this whole area looked extremely tempting! On the other hand, I fully enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was huge and divine!

Earlier this week my 10 year old son tells me that he has never taken a walk on Champs-Elysées. Unbelievable. He has travelled to nearly a dozen European countries, but has never set foot on an avenue situated 20 mins from home and considered by many as the most beautiful avenue in the world. I know, shame on his parents ;)
(The thing is that we often pass by car, but it's not the area where would normally stop for shopping, eating or just walking around...)
Anyway, mission accomplished! I also got to play around with Instagram, so here are a few photos from this week's strolling, from Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées, Montmartre, and the last two from my little suburban town... Enjoy your Sunday!

While Scandinavia was celebrating Midsummer this weekend, I took the train from Paris to Amsterdam to participate in the bloggers' event that took place there on Saturday afternoon (which is why this blog was so quiet...). It was great seeing 100 bloggers come together, listening to inspiring stories, discussing with interesting people (like her), and meeting with charming bloggers (like her and her). It was also an opportunity for me to visit Amsterdam again and spend a lovely weekend there!

Alors vous me voyez?

So do you spot me? 3rd row, right above the blond girls... the dark haired one with the beige top :)
